Funded by
the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the BMBF Innovation Initiative for the New German Länder - Entrepreneurial
Regions, "InnoProfile - Corporate Semantic Web" took up work at the beginning
of February 2008 at the Free University of Berlin. In the next six years twelve
workpackages will
provide a concerted framework which aims to establish economically beneficial
adoption of Semantic Web technologies in corporate environments. Prof. Dr.
Adrian Paschke together with a group of doctoral researchers is working in this
project.
The group is accompanied by two review panels. A Scientific Review Panel (SRP) and an
Industry Review Panel (IRP). The SRP ensures the scientific quality and
relevance of the work. It is formed by international reputable scientists in
the field of Semantic Web technologies. Besides, the IRP provides
business-cases which ensure the applicability of the research results in
corporate contexts. It is formed by companies of the region Berlin-Brandenburg
well-known for innovative products and services in the range of XML
technologies, intelligent systems and business applications.
All deliverables of the project, e.g. publications, milestone reports, software
prototypes and designed ontologies, will be published at
www.corporate-semantic-web.de and will build a foundation for companies to gain
an understanding of potential Semantic Web solutions for their business.
